“O” is for Ozzie! Indeed it is! This, raised on the streets of London “lady-child”, with her sultry Persian looks and exotic English accent is the real deal. A “rebel” from the start, she left home and security to fearlessly pursue her dreams.
At the tender age of 15, and against her families wishes, Ozzie began to secretly audition for various “theatrical productions” around London. However, her youth was a hindrance and resulted in her being turned down for a number of roles. So, at the next audition, Ozzie lied and claimed to be older than she was. “It worked”, says Ozzie, “They judged me on my talent, and I got my first acting role in a London Stage play.” It was off to the races, and in spite of her young age, acting offers came pouring in. She appeared in numerous West-End Theatre performances, with roles in “BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS” – “WEST SIDE STORY” and “OLIVER”, just to name a few.
Ozzie left home and struck out on her own. She set her goals high, and her sights on success. There would be no compromise. She supported herself, working as a model, an actor, a dancer and drama coach. She focused on perfecting her skills as a singer/songwriter while she attended university. She recorded her first song demo and graduated with a B.A. Honors Degree in Creative Arts both within weeks of each other. She was now ready to take on the world. |
Ozzie, armed to the teeth with talent, fueled with passions, and clearly on a mission, launched herself. As part of her plan, she used her intelligence, talents, good looks and seductive personality to land class A modeling assignments with “big time” advertisers like Mitsubishi and Coppertone in order to finance her assault on the world of entertainment. Ozzie was everywhere, traveling to audition and perform. She toured the world with renowned DJ’s, Paul Van Dyke and Paul Oakenfold. She performed at The LOVE PARADE, SPLASH, SLINKY, GODS KITCHEN, EROTICA, The WORLD DANCE-EQUALITY FORUM, WHITE PARTY, BILLBOARD, WMC and GAY PRIDE.
Then, during a chance meeting with legendary music producer, Tony Bongiovi, Ozzie’s singer/songwriter talents were spotlighted. He was so impressed with her talent, that he gave Ozzie a development deal. The result is Ozzie’s first single “Let Me Be” with remixes from Billboard DJ/Producer Billy Hallquist released in March of 2006 from her debut Album titled, ”O” is for OZZIE.
A prolific, eclectic writer, Ozzie is as comfortable writing for a film score, or another artist, as she is writing for her own album. “Writing is something I love! I get bored easily and need to be able to write in many styles for different projects. I love get into the character of different projects and write! It’s fascinating and challenging, and I love it.”
She recently wrote and performed for the soundtrack, and starred in a controversial, independent Middle Eastern film about women’s rights, titled Beckal’s Tears. The film, shot in Northern Iraq, won the Arab Emirates Film Festivals, Award of Appreciation, and gained Ozzie, recognition as a serious film actress.
Ozzie is currently writing the music and will be performing on the soundtrack of yet another film, titled “Mistress of Mesopotamia” in which she will also be performing the lead role. It is schedule for production in 2006-2007.
“I want to be the theatrical Pop Star! People need to be entertained and taken away from their everyday CRAP! Somewhere along the line, this has been lost. I want to bring it back”.
