Ozzie Aziz & Lauand Omar recieved an AWARD OF APPRECIATION From the Kurdish society of the UAE at the Emirates Film Competition 2006. Their movie was the first EVER Kurdish movie to be shown in any middle-eastern/Arab country, It was also the first movie made about WOMENS RIGHTS.
OZZIE IN MOROCCO- NEW MOVIE
Ozzie spent 10 days in morocco with Director Lauand Omar, checking out Production companies and Locations For the next movie Ozzie will star in. She has one of the leading roles and will play a Moroccan girl called ‘Hadishe’, Filming will begin in January 2006, and unfortunately, no more information on the movie and its contents are allowed to be given out at this time. ARAB EMIRATES FILM FESTIVAL

Emirates Film CompetitionFirmiski Bekhal / Bekhal’s Tears has been chosen by the Emirates Film Competition in the Special Screening Section, and is therefore the first Film out of Iraq/Iraqi Kurdistan to take part in this Festival which will be held in Abu Dhabi March 1st-6th.

Lauand Omar and Ozzie Aziz are looking forward to having a great time in the United Arab Emirates and will also spend some time in Dubai meeting talents for their up coming Horror Flick “Mistress of Mesopotamia”.

Bekhal’s Tears premiers on Kurdish TV!
The movie will be shown in two parts, followed by a Special Program discussing the problems the movie deals with. The guests of the program include the first Female Minister of the Iraqi Kurdistan Government, the president of the Kurdish Women’s Rights Organization, the founder of a Women’s Shelter in Irbil, and many more, all names to be posted tomorrow on Lauand's website.

MISTRESS of MESOPOTAMIA, Lauand Omar's 2nd movie which will be filmed in May this year. Ozzie has leading role and is also Musical Director with her producer Joe Butera III. Be ready to hear some amazing new styles and a whole new genre created by Ozzie, Joe and the chosen few.

The main song for the Movie 'Beckhal's Tears' is finally complete. The song has a positive message and gives Middle-eastern's a taste of the west and us a definate taste of the Middle-east. The song is in 3 languages English, Arab and Kurdish, We also hear backing vocals by Deepside.

OZZIE SHOOTS A 2 ND MOVIE IN IRAQ

"MEHTI OMET'S FILM 'HORSES"
Head of Iraqi Cinema Mehti Omet visited the set of Beckhal’s Tears, After seeing Ozzie’s performance asked if she would also starr in his movie. Mehti Omet has made several movies over the years addressing issues relating to Life in Iraq, Saddam Hussein, War and its effects on Humanity. Ozzie’s character- An English News reporter announcing the war between Iraq and America. Her character ends in an untimely death where she gets taken hostage by terrorists, shot and then beheaded. ‘This was such an extreme and touching role to play. It was so realistic and there were people crying whilst watching the filming. It was sad as you could see that they were re-living what they had already been through and memories came flooding back.’
 
Ozzie is currently working on the soundtrack of the movie ‘BECKHAL’S TEARS’, In which she just starred as the leading role. Click here for more info.
